Positive Thoughts!! Print E-mail

Do you ever have days that just turn into a downward spiral and make you wish like you never got out of bed?  Have you ever had sleepless night, after sleepless night, worrying!
 
Well, if you are like me, I am sure you are able to remember what those days and nights are like!

 

When this happens, we are essentially 'giving up' our control; we are surrendering command to the mercy of others and the events of the day. We are also harbouring negative and useless emotions that turn our spiritual beings in turmoil!
 
These are the days when we should be standing up and saying, "I am the boss, I am in charge of how I feel!"  Remember that!  It doesn’t matter if you are a PA for a fancy Executive or a Mum of 5, you are your own BOSS!  And you have the right to feel good ~ the right to laugh!
 
To do this you have to take greater control over your "focus". By focus I mean, of course, your thoughts and emotions. 
 
It is definitely not easy to avoid being influenced by the things you experience day to day, especially if you are not used to controlling your own thoughts and emotions.  Sometimes no matter how hard you try, you keep slipping back into old habits and losing your focus and there will always be that “boss”, that colleague, that acquaintance, the traffic or whatever it is!
 
I got sick and tired of feeling this way! Of surrounding my own feelings and/or focus because of a bad event of the day AND trust me, there is one every couple of days! BUT I started to choose to believe!!!

Here are two tips and give them a try next time you feel you are slipping:-

1)         "I choose to believe ......." 
 
This statement can be handy when you start falling back into negative thinking.  One little thing will happen and suddenly you will find yourself locked into a negative state of mind where nothing is going right and nothing ever will!  You will remember all other past negative days and again your spiritual being is once again in triple the turmoil it was!!


When you notice this happening, you can take control IMMEDIATELY by saying things that counteract the negative things you were just thinking.
 
For example:-


"I choose to believe that everything will work out just fine."
"I choose to believe that I control my thoughts and emotions."
"I choose to believe that great success is my destiny."
"I choose to believe that I can do anything I desire."
 
Just remove the focus from negative expectations and thoughts, and replace them with more positive (and powerful) affirmations.
 
2)         "I choose to feel...."  
 
It is easy to forget that you really *do* have the power to choose your emotional state, and this little statement can help remind you! 
 
Whenever you notice you are starting to feel down or aggravated, "choose" the emotion you want to feel instead.
 
"I choose to feel calm."
"I choose to feel happy."
"I choose to feel inspired."
"I choose to feel optimistic."
 
Then, of course, once you've chosen a more positive emotion, you need to focus on actually *feeling it*. 

That may sound difficult, but it's NOT if you use the power of your thoughts, heart and most of all, your soul you can really feel happiness!!  Really, your tears should be that of your own, not because someone else made you “Cry”!

Think about *something* that makes you feel calm, happy, inspired or optimistic.  It can be something from your past, something you want to experience, or something that's just pure fantasy.  As long as it inspires the right emotions, you are on the right track!  It is amazing what you are able to imagine and feel!

You may notice that your positive “energy” will radiate from you! It will reflect onto those who may have provided you with that “bad day”!  Your positive energy will unlock many different new wonders into your world – so love it and live now!! Choose to get up in the morning! Choose to have a peaceful sleep and most of all, choose to be happy!
